I find that even when you go hundreds of miles away you can never escape who and what you are. Not that im running from myself mind you. My Psychology prof. would tell me its some underlieing Froydian theory. But its not, sillyness.
My family went to Punta Gorda, Florida this Spring Break just to relaz and enjoy eachother for the last vacation before i leave. In Punta Gorda I talked to so many strangers about what God was doing with my life and my passion for the Dominican.
So for a treat my last day I got my first pedicure. The beauty consultant was named Jenny and as we talked i discovered that her parents were both Dominican. I spured a great conversation with so many avenues and exciting information. She brought pictures for me the next day and we sat and talked about what God could do in the Dominican.
I asked Jenny what the three things us Gringos should know going into the Dominican and this is what she said:
Tips for the Gringos:
1. Do not go out alone at night under any possible circumstances.
2. Do not wear excessive or expensive jewerly.
3. And do not give anything away without complete peace about what you are doing.
Have an awesome day!
howdy Emily,
How have you been? I got your letter the other day. I was sleeping under the influence of nightquil and so when I woke up I was kind of groggy. I turned over and behold, a letter from a tissot (this was the first time this has ever happened to me). I opened it up and saw, through groggy eyes a huge “BAM!” so I laughed and then I read some more and laughed and then I read the last part. and then I read it again. as of right now, I am trying to find my bookie to alert me of any debts that I currently owe. He seems to have gone on a long vacation. until he gets back, I am uncertain on how to proceed. I hope that you are well and that you are enjoying True Life.
adios from Los Gringos
