Happy Valentines Day!

  I hope everyone had a very nice Valentines Day full of flowers and chocolate. Mostly chocolate of course! We looked at roses the other day and they were 100 pesos per flower. I was not feeling that romantic towards my roommate Tamara.

  But I did feel a lot of love yesterday. Tamara and I went over to Wanda's and she ordered a very nice Italian meal of which we all shared. We exchanged presents and I got some very nice Jasmine scented sticks. She got a Grow-A-Date. Which was not actually funny until I translated it! That was probably the best part.

  But most people here celebrated in the traditional Dominican way, by drinking and celebrating. It really is an interesting culture. But the one great thing is that no matter what they are doing it is done with passion. Loving, hating, yelling and loving again, all consumed but an irregular amount of passion. So from me to you in the very passionate country "To Amo!" Tu eres muy especial en mi vida!
