Changes!
Well, this is Tamara’s last week and it has been a good time. I have enjoyed our time together and will miss her. But I feel really good about what is going to happen next.
The next step for me involves a lot of changes personally and for my team. I will be moving houses. My beautiful green house will soon be in the charge of Angelo and Ronnie. I am very sad to leave my house. It seems kind of silly but this has really become a home for me. A sort of refuge you could say. I will be moving into the boy’s house which is a small apartment right next to Miguel and Kristen. In fact I look out the bedroom window and can practically be in their kitchen. This is my new apartment! Actually just the top part of it!!!
With this apartment comes….OLGA!!! She is going to be my new roommate! I have not met her yet but she comes highly recommended by the community and Elisa a really good friend of mine. I am excited to meet her. She is a Dominican girl who speaks absolutely no English and is a studying at San Juan University. Please pray for us that we would get along and be able to conquer our language barrier. I feel she is really an answer to prayer and am very excited to meet her. I’m sure that we will bond as we fight whatever gross fungus is growing in the guy’s apartment. I feel like we will be buying a lot of Fabuloso for the first few weeks!
Your adventures sound amazing! I am praying for you. I know God is working in and through you in amazing ways.
I hope one day I will get to go to the DR so I can meet Natali (the little girl I support through Compassion). She is such a sweetie.
I love you girl. Keep up the good work. And remember that in order to give of yourself you need to be continually being filled by Christ or you will run dry. So remember to set aside time to be alone with Him.
