Hello World!

This week was pretty fantastic! Full of adventure, craziness and spontaneity. All of which I particularly love. God has opened the doors for so many opportunities to share His love and power, but truthfully I have been exhausted. This is not an easy job. I know that living in a gorgeous tropical country and sharing the Love of Christ as an actual occupation looks pretty nice. And don’t get me wrong, it is that and more. But sometimes you just get tired and when that happens it is time for a little fun.

So Miguel and Kristen took us on a surprise adventure to the beach. As always it was beautiful and sunny. We played a lot, investigated the native wildlife and enjoyed each others company. Exciting things that happened were; getting towed away by strong currents, Samantha’s first time in the ocean and Ronnie getting stung by a sea urchin.

Yes to all you hardcore nature survivors. He did pee on his own foot!

Unfortunately no one else had to go, so he was alone. After we left the beach Tamara and I started to notice how red the other one was. For all of you mothers out there I did apply sun block (30) every hour or so. So I took off my shoes because the bottoms of my feet hurt and they are so burned that they have taken on a purple color.

The after math, Tamara and I are burnt, I’m not walking so well and we both smell funny because we are using the goop from our aloe plant outside! It was a good day.

Oh and Angelo and I joined a PLD parade walking through Azua (the town we were in) PLD is government party with Miquel Varges running for president!

  1. We feel bad that you have a sunburn. Just to make you feel better….we have frostbite! (not really) It is cold and snowy in West Michigan. The weather man told us that in the last 40 days we have only had 2 without snow! Enjoy the warm temps because we are in a deep freeze in Michigan. The good news is there have been a lot of snow days from school and the kids are happy. Love you and pray for you daily!

  2. I am so excited that you got to use your sweet aloe plant!!! Remember when we broke the one in the Mexican restaurant and mom gave us, “The Look”? Haha! Take care of those feet. I’m not giving piggyback rides 😉
